I got a very very VERY last minute invite from Chogrin to contribute to his From Hanna Barbera to Cartoon Network show (more from that show by clicking HERE), on display at Cartoon Network Studios (not open to the public unfortunately) and was assigned to do a Scooby Doo piece.  Velma has always been my fav, so here’s my piece titled "JINKIES!"

From the time I got the show invite, to when I had to have it shipped out, I literally had 1 day only to create this piece, so I’m pretty darn proud of what I was able to come up with!

Hey ECCC friends!  If you missed it on my Instagram (along with other cool things I only post on there), here are some of the small original cut-paper pieces I’ll have for sale at my table (BB-11) at Emerald City Comic Con, March 28th-30th!

I’ll also be taking small $25 framed commissions of spooky initials (the bottom pic) of any letter you want, for you to pick up at the show, or I can even mail them out!  I only have 3 spots available though, so get them quick!  Email me at cameronpluswhitney@gmail.com if you’re interested!  What?!!?!  Too early for Halloween you say???  Shaaaaddup.

I hope to see you all there!!!!!

Here are a few scale pics of some of the individual items for your viewing pleasure.  This was by far the most difficult piece I’ve worked on…….curves and symmetry, curves and symmetry, curves and symmetry, curves and symmetry, DAMN CURVES AND SYMMETRY!!!!!!!!!!  I had to do a good handful of these multiple times just because something wasn’t quite symmetrical or there was a slight dip or bump in a curve.  BUT, in the end, I think it came out great and I learned a whole lot as well due to how challenging and different it was.

*a fun tidbit: out of all the items I’ve done, on average, a single item will have about 30-40 individually cut pieces, but the Moon Power Tiare had 125+ individually drawn and cut pieces………….it was a nightmare.

"IN THE NAME OF THE MOON, I WILL PUNISH YOU!" - by Cameron Garland of cameron+whitney

My last portrait commissions ever

How most of my days are spent

A work in progress…..Original Silver Age X-Men along with Magneto
I imagined them more like a bunch of rambunctious teens, like Scooby and the gang.  They go out looking for trouble even after old man Xavier explicitly tells them to stay out of trouble.  Mutant shenanigans then ensue.
I wasn’t too sure what to do with Bobby, since I wanted to stay true to the original Iceman look…..how does he do anything in that form?  He’s the Helen Keller of the team.

One of my first paper pieces that I did as a gift for my father last year.  It’s the house I grew up in, made to look like the house from Disney’s Up.

Click on the link below if you’d like to see more and read the story behind this piece and why it means so much to my family and I:

It’s me as Peter Parker and my girlfriend Whitney as Mary Marvel!

A project I’ll never ever finish…..don’t know why, but I just completely lost interest in it halfway through.  More pictures of it on my regular blog here:
